Day 95-transferring funds can be a Slow Process

When transferring funds over to the Philippines there are various ways of doing that. At first I was using western union because there are offices all over the place there and my wife can go get the money. The money transfer fees I thought were high around $23 or so for each transaction. I believe the rates are almost 10-15% of the amount transferred. So the next step was to send her an ATM card from a new account here in the states. What happened there was that every time she used the ATM card there was a fee also around $3 or so. I thought that was alright, but the problem was a withdraw fund limit. The limit was a problem causing multiple withdraws ending up with several hundreds of dollars in fees by the end of the month. Anyway we now have an account in the Philippines that I can transfer money into with a $15 wire transfer fee. Hopefully the one transfer now can be withdrawn with no fees on her end.
